I like Led Zep as much as anybody. songs of my youth. Those guys rock hard.

But I really haven't heard any good live recordings of them. The music is usually an all mashed-up-distorted-blaring sounding mess. You can tell what song they are playing, but it's just a mess. And then you have Robert Plant's ramblings between songs - just shut up and play!

I like their studio work a lot, but it seems they were a little sloppy on the road.

With my 20/20 hindight, I'm going to see the Dead! But if that pretty girl over there wants to see Zeppelin, I'd be happy to escort her to the Garden instead of playing pocket-pool at Filmore.

you need to see the knebworth dvd -plant * page are at their finest
in 1979 the band was finally getting their shit together sound wise "live" ....but bonzo had to go and drink too much

1975 was also a good year sound wise...
